A few years ago this post was all about one stroller: the Babyzen YOYO+. It's a good stroller, but we don't carry Babyzen anymore, and honestly, the travel stroller category has moved on. We now stock several compact folders that we've personally flown with, wheeled through Logan, and folded one-handed in the vestibule of a South End brownstone while holding a diaper bag and a toddler. Here's what we'd actually recommend in 2026, based on what's in our showroom right now.
Silver Cross Clic — $449.99
The Clic is our go-to recommendation for parents who want one travel stroller and nothing else. It self-stands when folded, folds and unfolds with one hand, and is genuinely carry-on sized. It's the stroller we hand first-time parents when they tell us they're flying with a baby for the first time and are nervous about gate-checking.
Silver Cross Nia — $549.99
The Nia does everything the Clic does, plus it converts to a bassinet mode that's IATA cabin-compliant, so newborns can lie flat in the overhead-bin-sized footprint. If you're traveling with a baby under 6 months, this is the one we walk families toward.
Nuna TRVL LX — $600
A step up in materials and ride quality, the TRVL LX self-folds at the push of a button and comes with a carry bag. It also pairs with the PIPA urbn infant car seat as a full travel system if you want one stroller that does double duty at home and on the road.
Cybex Libelle — $299.95
The most compact and most affordable option we carry — one of the smallest folding strollers available, and an easy pick for grandparents' houses, second cars, or budget-conscious families who still want carry-on convenience.
Bugaboo Butterfly 2 — $499
A one-second fold with a slightly more substantial ride than the ultra-minimal options above. Good middle ground for parents who want travel-stroller portability without feeling like they're pushing a toy.
Specs and marketing copy only tell you so much — the fold mechanism that looks simple in a video can be genuinely awkward with a squirming baby on your hip. Honestly, the New Born Luxury Stroller is the most bougie thing I have ever bought for my baby girl! It was a steal from shorper.com as this was comparably the same price as the regular strollers but had a decent touch of luxury and class to it which made me feel like i was giving my baby a princess treatment whenever we are out together, and she’s just chilling in her luxury stroller.
