Registry FAQs

Should I start my registry in store or online?

Either way. You can walk around the store and make a list, or start at home then stop by to see if you’ve missed anything. We're happy to set up your registry for you and email you your login. You can add or remove things from your registry at any time, and we’re always getting new products so please continue to check back.

Is everything in your store also on your site?

You will find nearly everything in the store on our site, especially all of our most popular registry items. If there’s anything you see in the store that isn’t on our site and you want to add it to your registry, no problem, just send us an email, call, or let us know the next time you’re in and we’ll take care of it.

Because Tadpole is small, is everything more expensive?

No. In fact, most of the items we carry have pricing that’s protected by the manufacturer. Most of our strollers, car seats, cribs, and even toys cost the same in our store as they do online or in large chain stores.

If an item is out of stock can I add it to my registry?

Absolutely. Our inventory is always changing - things that are in stock today may be out tomorrow and vice versa. Don’t worry, you can add anything on our site to your registry, and your friends can even purchase things that are out of stock. We try to keep tabs on all of our registries but if your shower is coming up and you want to make sure certain items are in stock, just let us know and we will do our best to have them in.

Will my friends and family be charged shipping?

Most orders, over $100, ship for free, but orders under $100 or / and some oversized furniture and gear orders will be charged for delivery. You can always set your registry for in-store pickup and your friends and family will never be charged for shipping. We will contact you when items have been purchased and you can stop by the store at your convenience to grab them.

How long will it take to get things that have been purchased from my registry.

Most items we have in stock and will be available immediately. Some ship directly from the manufacturer. We will keep you and/or the purchaser updated on the status of the order.

Will I have to assemble my stroller?

We are experts in stroller assembly and offer free assembly. If we build your stroller it will be done quickly and properly.

What happens if I have a problem with my stroller?

Your stroller is covered by a warranty so make sure to register your stroller after purchase. This can be done by mailing in the warranty card or on the manufacturer’s website. One of the benefits of buying from Tadpole is that we can help you with issues that might arise. If you have any problems feel free to call us or come by. There may be something we can do immediately, and if not we will provide you with the right information so you can get it resolved by the manufacturer.

How does the registry bonus work?

In order to qualify for the registry bonus, at least ten items must be purchased through our shop. When you think people are done purchasing from your registry let us know (either by phone, email, or in person) and you will receive an email with an itemized list of purchases. At that time 10% of the total will be applied to your account as store credit. You can use it all at once or over multiple visits, in-store or online. Store credit expires after two years of issuance. 

What’s your return policy?

Money back with original receipt within 7 days, store credit after that up to 30 days, although we’re generally flexible with the timing as long as it’s not a clearance item. All strollers, furniture, car seats, special orders, and discounted items are final sale.
